A choreographer and his muse is a tried-and-true relationship trope one that gets a new twist inEtoile.
And the chemistry between the pair is electric from the start.

So, [this connection] surprises him.
It’s about being there for each other and honoring each other.”
For Pontavice, building this relationship across eight episodes was the least challenging part of his role.

“I’m a newcomer.
That chemistry is finally realized in the season 1 finale and it happens in front of a huge audience.
“He’s nauseated by it.

So, I understand the perfectionist who’s like, ‘I cannot see this anymore.
I have to fix it.’
It’s like a tick.

If he doesn’t get it out, he will go insane.
It was rooted in reality, even though it’s quite absurd.”
Does this mean the duo will be a couple in a potential second season?
“You’ve seen what you have seen and we’ll see what happens,” muses Glick.
“I’m just curious about where these relationships are going to go.
And artistically, a lot of these characters have come into their own.
So I’m curious how that’s going to flourish.”
“We actually write these things that we don’t exactly know where everybody’s going.
It’s part of what makes this all still interesting and fascinating for us.”
