On Wednesday,Vogueeditor-in-chiefAnna Wintourand Oscar-winnerAnne Hathawaycameo’d as Broadway producers in stage showGutenberg!
and the two even winked at their connection viaThe Devil Wears Prada.
“Oh, Bud!
Doug!,” Hathaway cried.
“This show is fantastic.
We don’t need to hear another note!”
“I’m a very famous Broadway producer,” Wintour added.
“And this is my assistant.”
Hathaway did a double take at Wintour after being called her assistant, quipping, “Still?”
“I was interested in her position in her company.
No one in that world is too nice.
They don’t have to be, and they don’t have time to be.'
After that, I did a pass to make everyone a bit busier and meaner.”
The fashion icon concluded by saying, “I hold in my hands a Broadway contract.”
Hathaway and Wintour are the most recent celebs to grace the stage of the James Earl Jones Theatre.
The Musical!runs through Jan. 28.
