Ayo Edebiri’s dad is on a mission.

Edebiri said that seeing superstars unlocks a different side of her dad’s personality.
“He gets really starstruck,” she said.

“We also got cable when I was in high school,” she said.
“So then, it was almost like a switch got unlocked.
I don’t even know how to describe what was happening between me and30 RockandParks and RecandSNLandConan.
We got a DVR, so I would tape episodes ofConanand I would watch them religiously.
Hours and hours ofConan.”
“My dad really loves movies,” she explained.
“I watched a lot of classics with my dad.
A lot of Westerns.
He loves Westerns and Bollywood movies and old Hollywood musicals.
So we would watch a lot of those.”
TheBottomsactress noted that her artistic connection with her dad deepened as a teenager.
“Something changed when I got into high school,” she recalled.
“We watchedPan’s Labyrinthtogether.
I remember we were having a conversation about it.
And then I think that changed something for him, or me.
But then we just started watching everything and we would go to the movies together.”
