Barbara Bosson, the Emmy-nominated actress best known for her role onHill Street Blues, died over the weekend.

She moved to New York City after high school to kickstart her career.

A few years later she got her first major role in Steve McQueen’s 1968 crime filmBullitt.

Bosson is survived by her son Jesse, daughter Melissa, and two grandchildren.
