But, as Brooker feels it’s important to ask, “How evil would you say Maria is?

She did something thoughtless more than malicious.”

“She doesnt really know.

Shes a tormented villain.

Maria is guilty of doing something thoughtless.”

He also connects it to real-world anxieties over societal and political powers making true reality harder to distinguish.
