Banas died Monday at an assisted living facility in Encino, CA.

Banas' Joyboy was one of the ensemble members of the Jets street gang.

Earlier this summer,Tony Mordente, who played fellow Jet, Action, preceded Banas in death.

Robert “Bobby” Banas was born Sept. 22, 1933 in New York City.

Banas made his screen debut in 1952’sHas Anybody Seen My Gal?in which he danced the Charleston.
