However, Blanchett noted, “I was obsessed withCandid Camera.
If that’s not mischievous enough, Blanchett admitted she didn’t keep her domestic espionage to herself.
“I guess you could call it spying,” she said.

“But then what I would do, is I would write them down and say, ‘Mom!
Do you want to come and see a play?’
And I’d put it on, and I would reenact verbatim the arguments that they’d have.”
Blanchett said that her family was always puzzled and somewhat disturbed by her found footage performances.
“It’s truly troubling,” she said.
“But it was so, it was kind of really dangerous, but really exciting.”
Colbert noted, “Isn’t that what Hamlet does to Claudius?”
The actress responded, “I hadn’t readHamletat the age of 8.
I was very Shakespearean.”
