Denzel Washington misses Presidential Medal of Freedom ceremony after contracting COVID

Two-time Academy Award-winner Denzel Washington had to miss the Presidential Medal of Freedom ceremony where he was set to be honored after he tested positive for COVID-19.

Denzel Washingtonhas missed out on the glory of attending the Presidential Medal of Freedom ceremony at least for now.

He will be given the award on a yet-to-be-determined future date.

John McCain, Steve Jobs, and AFL-CIO president Richard Trumka all received the medal posthumously.
