Diane Warrenhas seen the memes of her losing theOscar, and she doesn’t care.
It comes with the territory of being a legendary songwriter and record-holding 16-time Oscar nominee.

“I’m not always like that.
I’ve lost 15 times.
There was probably a couple of times where I went [makes a face].
But you just keep it real.”
Besides, Warren’s gone viral for more fun reasons too.
“It’s so funny,” says Warren.
“It’s so Mariah.
People were going, like, ‘That was so mean.’
“She literally picked me up,” Warren continues. "
I’m like, ‘How did you pick me up like that?’
She didn’t just push me aside.
She picked me up and pushed me aside.
The doc features interviews with many of Warren’s collaborators and friends, often speaking with unflinching honesty.

But Warren wouldn’t have it any other way.
“I like people being honest,” she says.
“I didn’t want it to be a puff piece.
If someone says ‘Oh, she’s sometimes difficult,’ then I guess I am.
So if that makes me difficult, then f— yeah.”
