Drake Bellis questioning narratives that frame his life story as a cycle of abuse.
He was sentenced to two years of probation and 200 hours of community service.
It got to a place, where there were some messages that shouldnt have been exchanged, he said.

And thats why I [pleaded] guilty.
But once the age was revealed, thats when I stopped communication I blocked her on everything.
Oh, well, he did to someone else what has been done to him.

Bell doesnt think its fair to compare his actions with the abuse he survived as a teenager.
I should never have engaged with anybody online, even if I knew what their age was.
Anything like that … absolutely should not have happened, he said.
“He was calculating.
He preyed on me and sexually abused me,” she said.
Bell was alsoaccused of physical and verbal abuseby an ex-girlfriend in 2020.
When the documentary came out, (Gillian) called me, and she was just bawling.
She was like, Finally, he remembered.
