In the film, Alex is an editor, and Dan is a lawyer.
In both, Dan has a wife named Beth and one daughter named Ellen.

Episode 3 ends with another movie moment: Alex covering Dan’s car in acid.
Although Alex never boils a bunny, she does set fire to a house with Beth inside.

Alex claims to be pregnant, though we never know if she’s telling the truth.
The series ends with Ellen, Dan’s daughter, becoming obsessed with one of her professors.
