The filmmaker-actress stars in Netflix’s Don DeLillo adaptation and directed the upcoming doll-inspired movie.
Despite having very different inspirations, Baumbach says that he feels the two movies are connected.
“So that was all sort of happening during that first year of the pandemic.
They’re kind of connected in a funny.
“I mean they physically came out of the sameaddress.
But I think it contributed, him working on that and us working onBarbietogether.”
So would the two films make for a good double bill?
“I’m not going to pitchthat,” says Gerwig with a laugh.
“I’m sure if someone wanted to, it might be interesting.
I don’t know, it could be strange.
