GINUWINE:Well, I’m glad that’s the one that they picked.

I had an Alaskan Husky when I was a kid also, so it fit me perfectly.

Once I decide to do something, I do it.

So it was a great costume, great fit.

Well, frankly, I said, no, I didn’t really care to do it.

What would you have wanted to sing had you gone to the finale?

Well, I don’t know exactly how that goes.

I know the songs were given to me.

Initially I was a little aggravated.

That’s why they choose those songs for you.

So it was a good thing.

That’s like me saying, “Okay, I want to do ‘Pony.'”

I can’t do that.

So it’s a fun show.

Speaking of “Pony,” you got to perform that at the end there.

I’ve always wondered if they let artists pick that final song you get to do after being eliminated.

I knew that’s the one that they would want me to do.

That song first came out in 1996.

Has its staying power surprised you?

When I did it, I knew it was a special song.

That’s no doubt about that, but I didn’t know how long it would last.

Of course, you always hope for the best.

The song of course has been used throughout theMagic Mikefranchise.

Has that brought in a whole other generation and group of “Pony” fans?

So yes, that’s definitely a blessing for me and I hope they keep using it.

What’s next for you?

Can we expect new music any time soon?

Well, me, I’m constantly on the road and that’s my comfort zone.

But there’s nothing in the works.

I’m just on the road.

What did your time onThe Masked Singermean to you?

And don’t let the journey of it all discourage me.

So that’s what I’ll take from it.
