I said: ‘I’ve left the army to go to make an album in LA.’

Question number two was: ‘Where are you going to live?’

I said I didn’t know.

“[She] would shout: ‘Hey Charlie you wanna drink?’'

The singer said that he saw more of thePostcards from the Edgewriter after that first month.

She became my best, best friend.”

Fisher had previously discussed her friendship with Blunt with Vanity Fair in 2014.

“He was a soldier,” Fisher said of Blunt.

“This boy has seen awful stuff.

You know, he comes from a long line of soldiers dating back to the 10th century.

He would tell me these horrible stories.

Blunt said that he wrote a song about visiting Fisher’s house after she died in 2016.

“I put my hand on her gate and started crying,” Blunt recalled.

“Moments after, one of the open-top Star Map vans that drive tourists around LA turned up.

I wanted to tell them to f— off, but eventually found it funny.”

Bluntpreviously penned a tribute song to Fishershortly after her death that was used in her memorial service.
