“Then it started to come alive for me, and I was really excited by the prospect.”
“James' storytelling is very connected to action,” Harbour says.

There have indeed been many interpretations of Frankenstein over the years.
“I really love Mary Shelley’s originalFrankenstein,” Gunn tells EW.
This is a very well-spoken Frankenstein, but who’s also basically a sociopath and a stalker."
My companion must be of the same species, and have the same defects.

This montage is a perfect illustration of Gunns visual, action-oriented style of storytelling that Harbour mentioned.
For Harbour, this show’s version of Frankenstein ultimately shows the dangers of unintended creation.
Frankenstein was intended to be the perfect companion for his intelligent creator, but became a monster.
The Bride was meant to be the perfect wife, but decided she wanted a different life.
“So yeah, he’s an animal, and he’s violent.
So ‘stalker’ seems kind of reductive.
He’s almost more monstrous than that.”
The first two episodes ofCreature Commandosare streaming now on Max, with subsequent installments coming on Thursdays into January.
