Jay Lenois reflecting on how political comedy has changed and weighing in on the 2024 election.

Leno believes comedians are now expected to clarify their personal beliefs when performing political comedy.

“Now, you kind of have to take a side,” he said.

“It’s a little bit different.”

“It was fair.

It was honest,” he said.

“Okay, I was not a fan, but that’s okay.

It’s president of the United States.

Let’s all get together.

Thank you very much, you know?

“Here’s the answer,” he said.

“It was done.

There was no cheating.

Everybody said it was honest.

It was a great day for democracy.”

Leno recently told Piers Morgan that he’s “not a fan” of Trump.

“It has nothing to do with politics,” hesaid earlier this year.

“I just dont think morally I think we could do a little bit better.

You know all these indictments, whatever it might be.

In the same conversation, he also indicated that he thinks President Biden is a “good guy.”
