The Tennessee Board of Parole has recommended a pardon for award-winning country singerJelly Roll, theAPreports.

One member recused themselves from the vote.
Today the Board unanimously recommended his Pardon.
Its now in the hands of our Governor.

I pray this goes through, he said.
But today was special for me, regardless.
He also reportedly expressed his desire to use the pardon to complete missionary work abroad in his later years.
I had no business taking from anybody, he said at the time.
