It was expensive to make and largely self-financed by Costner.
As Costnerpreviously explained toEntertainment Weeklyback in May, he’s been wanting to tell the story ofHorizonfor decades.
His son Hayes is evennamed after the lead characterCostner plays.
“I just don’t fall out of love with things I like.
I am always looking for the next great movie,” Costner said.
The firstHorizonwill be available digitally on Premium VOD on July 16 and is still available to watch in theaters.
A streaming premiere date on Max has not yet been announced.
