Authenticity was a high priority for the two, as they recently explained to EW.
“Ziggy was young, but he was still there.

And when you are 11 or 12, that’s the most impressionable time.
You do remember a lot from those periods of time.”
The filmmaking process was educational in both directions, according to Ziggy.

“It was exciting and emotional,” Ziggy says.
We explored different elements of Bob that people don’t know, different emotions that he went through.
I actually learned some stuff, too.
It was a very emotional journey."
“At this particular period in time, ‘76-77, a lot was happening in Bob’s life.
He was challenged as a man, as a father and husband, as a musician.
So it’s a snapshot of his life that speaks to his entire life.
These are the moments that really transformed him into the person who we know him as today.”
“Jamaica was going through a very tumultuous time at that time.
Bob Marley: One Lovewill hit theaters this Jan. 12.
