“He’s injured, but he’s inside; they found him singing,” she said.
“He started singing so they could hear him.
One of Perez’s brothers later claimed the singer was still missing.

“At the moment, he has not been rescued from the rubble,” theytold SIN.
“He hasn’t been sent to any hospital.
Rubby is still in the rubble; we haven’t been able to rescue him.”

Perez was born Francisco Arturo Perez in Hato Mayor on March 8, 1956.
In 1987, he embarked on a solo career, eventually achieving two Billboard charting hits.
