A rep for the singer did not immediately respond to a request for further comment.
In January, Bolton revealed that he was recuperating from surgery to remove a brain tumor.
His medical team had located a mass that required immediate surgery just before the holidays.
“I am now recuperating at home and surrounded by the tremendous love and support of my family.”
The situation meant Bolton needed to cancel some planned tour dates.
The 71-year-old’s website currently lists numerous tour dates five domestic and three international beginning in January.
