The comedian still recalled the exact shade.
“It was like caramel-y green.
It’s like specific and like stuck in my memory,” Byer said.
“And then she started welling up and I was like,Oh no.”
A producer instructed the host to stop the tears from flowing.
She thought for a moment…
“I was like, ‘But you’re so pretty!’
And, um, ‘What if I cry?'”
“It’s the same thing with judging,” she said.
And, you know, it’s not burnt, and isn’t that fun?"
Byer was nominated four times for the Emmy for best reality show host.
But she found the recognition “affirming.”
While the series remains on Netflix, Byer said in March thatshe didn’t knowif new episodes will drop.
