I think more shows need to be recognized.
A few new faces join the sprawling cast ofPachinkoin season 2.

We have Noa split between two really wonderful actors, says Hugh.

Kang Hoon Kim as Noa on ‘Pachinko’.Apple+
He’s the one that’s going to show everyone that these Koreans in Japan can make it.
So we talked a lot about finding the humanity in Noa.
No spoilers, but Noa comes to some realizations this season that are really shattering to him."

Eunseong Kwon as young Mozasu on ‘Pachinko’.Apple+
In contrast, Mozasu brings some much-needed levity.
This is what’s great about child actors: it is so intuitive for the good ones.
They have this very wise soul in them.

Sungkyu Kim (Mr. Kim), Eunchae Jung (Kyunghee), and Minha Kim (young Sunja) on ‘Pachinko’.Apple+
There’s something about their psychic makeup that makes them understand stories like this.
Her relationship with Mr. Kim was one of my favorite relationships in the book.
The spark between the two is palpable from the start and dare we say, quite sexy.

Lee Minho (as Hansu) and Minha Kim (as young Sunja) on ‘Pachinko’.Apple+
We’re looking for sexiness, but also tenderness."
When Eunchae and Sungkyu first met and did a reading together, you just felt something.
(Dont worry, Lee Minho girlies: similar moments between Sunja and Hansu also abound this season.)
Yet one of the joys ofPachinkois that it reinvents itself every season.
It does feel like we’re starting all over again.
Perhaps that labor of love might actually be acknowledged this time.
(It received one nomination for main title design.)
But we’re all human.
This show would not be the show it is without them.
There are so many great television shows out there, right?
The world is different now.
I think more shows need to be recognized.
