Lesh was hailed as one of the greatest bassists in modern rock history.

He was surrounded by his family and full of love.

Phil brought immense joy to everyone around him and leaves behind a legacy of music and love.

Lesh would play with the group throughout its entire 30-year run, disbanding in 1995 following Garcia’s death.

Lesh is survived by his wife, Jill, and their two sons, Grahame and Brian.
