It came mid-story, in a video segment forVanity Fair, while the two were discussing costarLaura Dern.
Witherspoon asked, “Why?”
“Because it sounds weird!”
Witherspoon said, “Do you know why?
Because my name is Laura, and her name is Laura, and its confusing to me.
My real name is Laura Jeanne.
So I get confused and just call her Dern.
We cant both be Laura.
“I got excited,” Kidman explained.
“Its okay, baby.
I get excited too,” Witherspoon said.
“Then Ive got Laura calling me, and Zoe and Shailene.
Theyre all like, ‘Nic said that were makingBig Little Liesseason 3?’
“But we are now!”
