After Scott viewed the film alone, he gave Alvarez his thoughts.

“He walks into the room and he did say, ‘Fede, what can I say?

It’s f—ing great,'” Alvarez recalled.

One of the best compliments he said was, ‘The dialogue is great.

Are you the writer?’

“Everyone gave me the head’s up that Ridley is really tough,” Alvarez said.

“He’s really tough, particularly if it has something to do with his movies.

I asked him about the newTop Gun:[Maverick]and he’s like ‘eh.’

I’m like, ‘What are you talking about?’

He really respected it, but you could see how tough he was.

So I was like, ‘There’s no way I win this one.'”

Scott has had a variety of reactions to theAlienmovies that came after his original.

“It really was amazing what he accomplished.

There’s also no question that Cameron made an excellent film withAliens.

It really is an achievement.”

He wasn’t particularly kind toPaul W.S.

“I thinkAlien vs. Predatorwas a daft idea,” hetold The Hollywood Reporterin 2019.

“And I’m not sure it did very well or not, I don’t know.

But it somehow brought down the beast.”
