Hugh Jackmankicked off his Radio City Music Hall residency with a little help from a friend.

“Hello, Hugh, it’s Ryan,” Reynolds announced.
“You have a microphone!”
Jackman said, suggesting that Reynolds had been planted in the audience.

“you might just bring one of these!”
“I’ll lend you mine in a minute.”
“We all said it was a terrible idea, but he carried on,” Reynolds added.
“I see he’s duped me once again.”
Reynolds then moved through the crowd to hold out the mic for audience questions.
At the end of the “Hugh & A,” he shared a message about his costar.

Reynolds praised Jackman’s ability to maintain his strong personal character as his stardom exploded.
“I saw a movie star, a capital M movie star … “But I wanted to actually just say: I love this man.
I care about this man.
He is genuinely the best human being I know and I have four children!
He is the best.
Enjoy the rest of the show.
You owe me a hundred bucks.”
Jackman responded, “I love you, Ryan Reynolds.
I love you, man.”

“The opening of the movie had this dance sequence I don’t know if you saw it.
It had the character of Deadpool dancing to an *NSYNC song,” he said.
Jackman is set to perform 23 moreFrom New York With Loveshows across eight weekends at Radio City Music Hall.
After this weekend, he’ll perform one weekend per month from April to October.
