Ryan Reynolds is the merc with photoshop.
Ryan Reynoldsasked fans earlier this week to stop sharing spoilers forDeadpool 3, which is currently filming.
However, Reynolds isn’t one to simply say something and walk away.
Instead, he’s fighting the leaks with faux leaks.
“Deadpool began with a leak,” Reynolds wrote on X, the site formerly named Twitter.
“So I’m joining in.
In addition to ridiculing the leaks, Reynolds has coyly played the algorithm.
His posts have the potential to tamp down those frustrating leaks.
Though, Reynolds does acknowledge that leaks have played a part in the character’s filmic legacy.
This tactic comes just a day after Reynolds posted a pleaon Instagram.
“Surprises are part of the magic of theatrical movies,” he wrote.
Telephoto lenses continue to spoil surprises and create a difficult situation for everyone.”
Part of the reason people post spoilers is because they’re excited.
I realize these aren’t real world issues and it’s firmly in the ‘good problems’ bucket.
I love making this movie."
The new film reunites Reynolds' Deadpool withHugh Jackman’s Wolverine.
The film is being directed byShawn Levy, who also directed Reynolds inFree GuyandThe Adam Project.
Deadpool 3is scheduled for a theatrical release on July 26, 2024.
