John Wells will exec-produce too, through his John Wells Productions, which is working with Warner Bros. Television.

The streamer ordered 15 episodes of the show back in March.

ERended up running for 15 seasons, with Wyle returning several times after his initial departure.

It’s the second longest-running medical drama in prime-time TV, behind onlyGrey’s Anatomy.

Wyle has said that he knew from the start that the much-watched series was going to be big.

“They started showing these clips from the pilot,” Wyle said in June on theStill Here Hollywoodpodcast.

“Just boom.”

Suddenly, there was an explosion of support.

ERwent on to win 23 Emmys over the course of its run.
