Selena Gomez says 'women have it much worse' as public figures on social media: 'It's made me a tad bitter'

Selena Gomez is not mincing words about her experience as a famous woman grappling with online negativity — and the effect it's had on her — but she says she's found 'ways to combat it.'

Gomez had a different perspective, though.

“I was also going to point out that women have it much worse,” she added.

Unlike her fiance, Gomez admitted she does sometimes see what people are saying about her online.

“So there are ways to combat it,” she concluded.
