Lydon had long been open about his wife’s diagnosis, which he first revealed ina 2018 radio interview.
At the time, he said she was in the “mid-stages of Alzheimer’s.”
“For me the real person is still there.
That person I love is still there every minute of every day and that is my life.
It’s unfortunate that she forgets things, well, don’t we all?”
More recently, Lydonappeared on season 6 ofThe Masked Singeras the Jester.
“We’ve been married 45 years,” he said.
Forster and Lydon married in 1979.
