Shannen Dohertywas finalizing her divorce shortly before she died last week, according to court documents obtained byPEOPLE.
On Monday, a judge granted her a posthumous divorce.

Doherty married photographer Kurt Iswarienko in 2011.
Representatives for Doherty did not immediately respond to EW’s request for comment.
Doherty signed papers for “default or uncontested dissolution” on July 12, according to PEOPLE.
Iswarienko signed his part on July 13, the same day as Doherty’s death.
The documents called for a separation of assets, and also terminated her previous requests for spousal support.
Shewent into remission in 2017, but her cancer returned in 2020.
