“I went, ‘Oh wait, weve been in a film together,'” recalled Cumming.
“And shes so cute; she goes, ‘I wonder if you’d remember.'”
Cumming looked back at his time on the franchise fondly, comparing his cartoonish character to Willy Wonka.
“Its so changed how people approached me,” he said of the franchise.
It went from being like, Oh, famous guy, to Mr. Floop!
Youre a part of my childhood!
“I love the idea that I have been a magical part of peoples childhood.
Its such a lovely thing.”
Cumming also observed similarities between him and his character.
“A bit like me in my life actually.
I just want to have fun and do fun things.
