Q shakes up the game in a major way with a Tribal Council bombshell, but nothing actually changes.
Now I know when the going gets tough, hes going to tuck his tail and quit.
Thats a pretty harsh thing to say.
Q Burdette on ‘Survivor 46’.Robert Voets/CBS
It really calls someones character into question as well as their inclination to persevere through adversity.
However, the really interesting thing about that quote is that it was actually said about David Jelinsky.
And it was said by… Q Burdette.
Tevin Davis on ‘Survivor 46’.Robert Voets/CBS
Make no mistake, Q Burdette tried to quitSurvivoron this weeks episode.
Its not giving up.

The point is, there is a definite pattern.
Kenzie Petty, Maria Shrime Gonzalez, Charlie Davis, Tiffany Ervin, and Ben Katzman on ‘Survivor 46’.Robert Voets/CBS
And he didnt like it, so he tried to bail.
Im not trying to hammer the guy.
So why did his tribe mates keep him?
Hunter McKnight on ‘Survivor 46’.Robert Voets/CBS
Because there is already too much unpredictability in the game ofSurvivor.
Clearly, Q Burdette REALLY, REALLY, REALLY WANTED SOME DAMN RICE!
I do understand the two-for-one aspect ofnotvoting Q out.

You think Q is on your side?
So did the person he called his No.
A triumphant Venus proclaimed to the tribe, I can see through bulls—.
Tevin Davis on ‘Survivor 46’.Robert Voets/CBS
That led to outright cackling from Tevin, who felt Sodas blindsiding was all his doing.
We knew this would go down, and knew it would be amazing.
But what we didnotanticipate was athirdperson wanting credit.
But Liz would make her move soon enough.
I seriously would have so much respect for him if he had done that.
Even without that dramatic exit, this hide-and-seek segment was straight-up fantastic.
Not because the tribe played hide and seek, mind you.
I could care less about that.
The only thing more boring than playing hide and seek is watching hide and seek.
But what made this scene so oddly entertaining was the straight-up bizarre commentary by Q along the way.
Anyway, in the end,Hunterwon… because of course he did.
Speaking of Hunter winning things
Is it still debatable that Hunter isSurvivor 46s biggest challenge beast?
Sorry, just a bit confused by theBoston Robcrossover factor.
How long do you think you would last, Jeff?"
asked Kenzie from the bench.
Moving target
Man, there was alotgoing on leading up to this Tribal Council.
Q Wanted to take out hisNo.
Would it be Tiffany?
Would be in Tevin?
And why is everyone onSurvivorsuddenly so insistent on getting out people whose names start with the letter T?
Instead, Q had another idea.
Trust me, I wanna play and Ive been playing since day 1.
I have no idea what this man is talking about.
What in the name of aJack & Jillmovie reward is he responsible for?
Im not poking fun, Im legitimately confused.
I dont understand any part of it.
What is not sitting right with him?
What does he feel responsible for?
And whose joy and dream is he stealing?
Are we talking about Bhanu again?
It was truly a beautiful parade of annoyance and exasperation.
I loved every single second of it.
Except, of course, the result.
Especially because Tevins departure marks another notch on my belt of futility when it comes to pickingSurvivorwinners.
In the end, Tevins social game which I thought would be his biggest strength did him in.
He could not bring himself to mend fences with Venus and ended up alienating Liz.
Lord, how I wish there were still cameras at Ponderosa to capture Tevins reunion with Soda.
And if you thought Jems Beware Advantage shenanigans are not still causing mischief… think again!
Weve got anexclusive deleted sceneto prove it.
Plus, check outthe entire cast naming their favoriteSurvivorplayers ever.
But dont you worry your scoop of the crispy will be ready and waiting next week.
