ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: You came in last in the first challenge out of the gate what happened?!

NURYS MATEO:Such a loser.

Apparently I need to learn how to do anything and everything that involves the water.

That is all my fault.

Probably should spend more time training in the water and not working on my endurance.

It was definitely a hard loss.

We had to just figure it on our own.

When I did change my hand position, I felt the boat actually moving.

I was like, “Keep trying?

The only people left in the water is me and Theo.”

I felt so bad that I took it out on him.

Time to invest in some paddling lessons for future seasons.

He was like, “I didn’t know who was left.

No, me and Michele were friends at that point.

I don’t think Michele would’ve thrown me in.

I don’t think she would’ve done anything to make her look bad again.

I don’t think Olivia would have, either.

I don’t think she would want to make that mistake that she made on 39 again.

What was your reaction when you learned you were doing Hall Brawl?

F— me.

You just keep the smile on your face.”

When I look at it now, you could clearly see that I was terrified.

You see it in my face.

I was so scared.

And my moneymaker is notTheChallenge my moneymaker is my real life, my career is modeling.

What was it like competing against Olivia?

When the first round was over, you couldn’t see it, but I felt the internal bruise.

All I thought to myself was, “Okay, that wasn’t bad.”

It was much needed to get hit in the face, apparently.

Did you walk away without any injuries?

Yes, I did!

I’m super proud of myself.

I had gotten so much hate they love to hate me, I don’t know why.

If you get beat, that’s fine, but you better put up a fight."

Since the elimination happened, I didn’t believe in myself.

I was like, “You are a loser.

Physical eliminations will never be your thing.”

And maybe they aren’t.

But I will say, after watching it back, I feel a bit better.

I feel more confident in myself.

I don’t ever want to see an elimination again where I feel okay going home.

I wish I would’ve tried harder, but I’m also proud of myself for not completely losing.

I was proud that the second round was more entertaining it was a little bit of a battle.

And at the end of the day, I’m not mad that she beat me at all.

I am glad that our record is now 1-1.

What’s your status with Olivia now?

After the first round, the crowd was like, “What just happened?

This was so boring.

Did they agree to not hurt each other?”

Mind you, we agreed to hurt each other, so that’s embarrassing.

And hopefully I’m not seeing another physical elimination for a long time because those are a lot.

I don’t want to see another Hall Brawl for the rest of my career inThe Challenge.

One is more than enough.

How did you feel leaving Horacio in the game without you?

Truly, I only really went because he wanted me to be by his side.

And I’m pretty sure that he did have those people by his side, so that was nice.

The Challenge: Battle of the Erasairs Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.
