Washington is making his sixth movie with director Antoine Fuqua about the epic battles of Hannibal.
The film is written by John Logan, who also wrote the scripts forMartin Scorsese’sTheAviatorandRidley Scott’sGladiator.
(Logan did not, however, write theGladiatorsequel.)

This forthcoming Netflix film will be the duo’s sixth movie together.
Marshalling Hannibal’s armies isn’t the only period epic that will have Washington’s attention.
He will also star in Ridley Scott’s upcomingGladiatorsequel, tentatively slated to be released in late 2024.
