The actor laterrevealed to EW that he got to keep some memorabiliafrom the set ofThe Goonies.
“I had one of the original maps.

I had one of the original asthma inhalers.
We probably five-finger-discounted a good two dozen doubloons from the set,” he recalled.
“Those are all gone.”

Off-screen, Astin is also the first known Middle Earth resident tocomplete an Ironman triathlon.

“Harrison Ford came and walked the caves with us.
We felt like we were inIndiana Jones.”
He recalled in aninterview with theDaily Mailthat once puberty hit, he couldn’t book gigs anymore.

“My first love was acting but puberty had other ideas.
It was a forced retirement.
