So given all this exciting potential, why is Marvel burning through its X-Men material so rapidly?
For all its accomplishments,X-Men 97also commits to an absolutely frenzied pace.

Another weird element of this frenzied pace is the impact its having on current X-Men comics.
The emphasis on short-term pop is detrimental to the franchises long-term sustainability.
Its also pretty overwhelming to venture to keep track of as a fan.
But come on, whats the rush everybody?
Its not like Marvel, or Disney, or the X-Men, are going away anytime soon.
Cant we all just take a breath?
