“Of course,” Fallon replied, prompting a staffer to bring out the big-eyed pet.

“He runs security for me,” Renner joked, holding the tiny dog.

“That’s your emotional support animal?”

“He looks pretty anxious himself.”

“She really calms down Hershey,” he said as Lady Fluffernutter joined them on stage.

“So it’s a nice little happy family.”

But before long, Renner realized that Lady Fluffernutter was battling some anxieties of her own.

“I think she doesn’t do well in high-stress situations.”

The only possible solution, then, was to bring out yet another emotional support animal.

This time, Renner called upon Pentunia, a pink-spotted pig.

“We’re gonna get through this together!”

“Looks like everyone’s happy.

“No, she’s not,” Fallon replied.

“She’s not doing well,” Renner insisted.

“We need Ping-Pong.”

He next introduced a blue and yellow macaw, completing the sprawling menagerie.

An amused Fallon then recapped the dynamics.

“Ping-Pong calms down Petunia, which calms down Lady Fluffernutter, which calms down Hershey.”

“I was like, ‘Oh, God, I got to relive this thing?

Like word by word?'”

“I learned a lot in writing it,” he said.

We know how the movie ends I’m here, right?”
