A 4.7 magnitude quake near Malibu rocked Southern California early Thursday morning.

Among the anchors on-air who felt the temblor mid-program includeABC7’s Marc Cota-Robles andThe Facility’s James Jones.

Cota-Robles had just begun a segment about cinnamon this pumpkin spice season when the temblor struck mid-sentence.

“Oh, we’ve got an earthquake,” he said.

“We certainly do.

We’re shaking pretty good.”

As the studio shook, a composed Cota-Robles surmised it was a 3- or 4-magnitude quake.

Jones, on the other hand, was fully committed to the task at hand this morning.

He was undeterred and moved along with the segment until his fellow analyst cut him off.

“Hold on, James!”

“It’s an earthquake!

Talking about Baker Mayfield, I almost lost my life!”

Sharing the footage on X, Daniel noted it was the first earthquake he’d ever experienced.

Meanwhile, the morning news team at Fox 11 Los Angeles also rode out the quake on air.

Amanda Salas, Melvin Robert and Jenn Lahmers calmly shared their observations from their shaky morning.

“That is an earthquake that we just experienced,” Robert said.

“That’s still going.”

The earthquake comes asthree major wildfires burn across Southern California, forcing thousands to evacuate their homes.
